SHARIQ KHAN

Shariq is a finance professional with 15 years of experience demonstrating a high degree of work ethic and integrity in providing expertise in accounting, financial reporting and ERP implementations. Results-oriented team leader providing mentoring and support to inspire drive to exceed expectations. Shariq earned his Chartered Accountant with KPMG and he is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).

AMY GENSEL RD

Amy Gensel RD, CSNC, is a registered dietitian that specializes in nutrition support at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. She has a passion for wellness and is also a group fitness instructor. She has 15 years of experience as a registered dietitian and believes nutrition plays a crucial role in disease treatment and prevention.

Dr. Ed Tam

Edward Tam, MD, FRCPC, is a clinical hepatologist. His full time clinical practice is in Vancouver, BC, where he is also active in clinical research, teaching, education, and community outreach. He has a focused interest in the area of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, including the intersection of how lifestyle and pharmacotherapeutic interventions may address this growing epidemic.

DR. Paul Gross

Paul Gross, MD, is a family physician working in downtown Vancouver. He completed medical school at McGill University and residency at St. Paul’s Hospital. Most of his clinical practice is concentrated at Spectrum Health, a multidisciplinary primary care clinic in downtown Vancouver that provides full-service care with an emphasis on the LGBTQ community.

Dr.Katie Cooper

Dr. Katie Cooper is a doctor of psychology based out of London, England, and the author of the book Plant Therapy, which focuses on the well-being benefits of plants and the negative effects that an indoor lifestyle can have on mental health. After seeing how powerful plants could be as therapeutic tools with clients, Dr. Cooper went on to launch Bloomboxclub Limited, a successful plant subscription service in the UK, which is now a part of the PlantX family.

DR. Eva Weinlander

Dr. Weinlander is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Primary Care and Population Health. She is a seasoned family medicine physician with a passion for high quality primary care, medical education, primary care research and health care professional wellness.

She completed her medical training in Canada, medical school at Queens university and residency at McGill. She has long standing academic interests in patient and clinician wellness, women’s health and medical education. For the last 15 years she has been the Director for the Continuity of Care clerkship, recently transition to a new role as Director of Faculty Wellness for Primary Care and Population Health. She is co-founder and director of Stanford-CSI (Clinical Summer Internship) for premed undergrad and upper level high school students. She runs the annual McGann Women and Health Lecture Series which is open to medical students and undergrads for credit and to the general public.

Dr. Weinlander practices the full spectrum of primary care, from pediatrics to geriatrics. She also leads collaborative mind-body medicine skills visits for patients grappling with chronic disease and stressful lives, or who just want to explore the healing properties of these practices. She is LGBTQQI friendly. Speaks French and a tiny bit of German.

Dr. Thomas A. Burdon

Thomas A. Burdon, MD, is a Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University and Chief of Surgery at the VA Palo Alto in California. He is an active surgeon and also supervises more than 150 staff that perform 6,000 surgical cases a year. Dr. Burdon’s commitment to improving the quality of life for his patients encompasses corrective and palliative surgical techniques, as well as providing dietary information and other methods to ameliorate and improve lifestyle habits. He is known by his colleagues for creating the “Dr. Burdon Diet” which has helped patients lose from 50-100lbs and nurses lose 20-30lbs just by following a plant-based diet. As a cardiothoracic surgeon, if you’re seeing Dr. Burdon, it means that you’re having heart surgery, and he wanted to help people before reaching that state. Having seen the obesity epidemic in North America get out of hand, and noticing how much it’s attributed to vascular disease, he decided to petition the hospital to provide more plant-based options and make more common-sense meal decisions. He sees plant-based living as an “anti inflammatory” way of life that will help people reduce the occurrence of morbidity and disease. PlantX is honored to have Dr. Burdon on the Medical Advisory Board.

Alex Hoffman

Having worked in a creative field for the past 10 years, Alex has a passion for design and an appreciation for beauty. She has joined PlantX to oversee all brand marketing activities, establish and execute key processes to enable rapid growth, in addition to working closely with the founding team to refine the brand’s message for key segments and capitalize on emerging opportunities/collaborations.

Quinn Field Dyte

Quinn Field Dyte holds the position of CEO, President & Director at Winston Resources, Inc., President, Chief Financial Officer & Director at Vantex Resources Ltd., Chief Financial Officer, Secretary & Director at Goldseek Resources, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer & Director at Great Atlantic Resources Corp.

He is also on the board of 6 other companies.

In his past career, he has held the titles of Director, Chief Executive & Financial Officer at Hadley Mining, Inc., Chief Executive Officer & Non-Independent Director at Scorpion Resources, Inc. and Chief Financial Officer, Secretary & Director at Inexco Mining Corp.

Lorne Rapkin

CPA, CA, LPA, and a partner at Rapkin Wein LLP, Lorne Rapkin has experience serving clients in nearly any industry, including finance, real estate, professional services automotive, manufacturing, and media. He also works closely with investment and public companies, seeking to reach compliance with IFRS accounting standards. Lorne also works with publicly listed companies as an advisor. He often assists management with go-public transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.

Sean Dollinger

A serial entrepreneur, Sean Dollinger started a delivery company at the age of 17 that soon became one of the largest in Canada. In 2014, he launched his first public company, Namaste Technologies. Having left Namaste in March 2019, Mr. Dollinger has since provided advisory services for three public companies that doubled their market caps in just three months. Mr. Dollinger is also a passionate vegan who has an excellent grasp of the plant-based market.

Ralph Moxness

Mr. Moxness is President of Greenfields Investment Corporation which company provides corporate finance and merger/acquisition advisory services. Greenfields (and predecessor Greenfields International) has successfully represented clients since 1987 on both the buy and sell side of transactions managing client relationships throughout North America & Europe. The company has also provided financial expertise in assisting growing companies to secure private equity and other forms of corporate finance to support growth or complete acquisitions. From 1998 to May 2018 Moxness was a Greenfields consultant/officer/director to ESM International Inc. (and subsidiaries) which companies are engaged in the Internet fields of music and community.

Prior to establishing Greenfields he held positions as Vice President Finance Jac Jacobsen Enterprises Inc. (Luxo Lamp Group) and DBM Industries Ltd. an innovator of specialized machinery. In addition to the VP Finance role Moxness managed acquisition work in Canada and the USA for Jac Jacobsen and joint venture work with US corporations for DBM.

Before joining DBM Industries, Moxness was Assistant-Superintendent Investments – Canada/Venture Capital Division – FBDB (now BDC) and prior to this was Investment Manager – Province of Quebec. In these roles he represented the bank in providing equity investments to Canadian business. He held earlier management positions with FBDB and the Bank of Montreal.

He has previous experience on boards of both private and public companies in his career which will be of assistance to PlantX at the board level.

Julia Frank

Julia is an experienced Marketing, Brand and Business Development Manager, who has worked multiple years for companies like BMW and Daimler in Germany. She is holding an MBA as well as a Masters Degree in Digital Entrepreneurship and has successfully set up brand & company strategies. As the face of PlantX, Julia focuses on a healthy and active lifestyle, loves to cook plant-based recipes and travels the world to experience as many different cultures as possible.
